John Lineker has advice for TJ Dillashaw: I would take me down

Get the Full StoryJohn Lineker feels like former bantamweight champion, T.J. Dillashaw shouldn t try his luck against him in the stand up department when they meet at UFC 207. John Lineker feels as confident as ever as he prepares to take on UFC former bantamweight champion, T.J. Dillashaw. As the Brazilian KO artist told Combate, he wouldn't try to exchange strikes with himself, if he was Dillashaw.

"If I were to fight myself, I would take me down. I believe that's what he's going to do, but I hope he strikes against me. I'm ready for everything he has, even if he tries to take me down, but if he tries to strike, I'll get another knockout. It's going to be a tough fight because of his movement, I believe I can't chase him around too much like I did with Dodson. I'll have to wait for him to come at me instead of going after him. I can't rush it because he has good speed, combinations and wrestling."

"It's hard to talk about holes in the game of guys at this level. He has some, but it's hard to point them out, because he's very well rounded and smart. I'll try to do my thing, catch him with my counters in the short distance and mix body shots with head shots, avoiding his shots in the short distance."

John Lineker is scheduled to take on T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 207, on December 30, in Las Vegas. The card will be headlined by a female bantamweight title fight between champion Amanda Nunes and a returning Ronda Rousey.
