The Spice Girls May End Up Doing A Tour After All

TMZ reports the spice rack is planning to do a tour that starts in the U.K. and migrates to the U.S. despite no plans for a Las Vegas residency or new material, which is a shame since I imagine Posh starts each day with vocal exercises to keep her pipes in tip-top shape for moments like these! The Sun via The Daily Mail is saying that the Spice Girls have been in constant contact since their Friday meeting. A source claims the reunion was to secure the Spice Girls legacy, and that could mean creating their own record label to sign new girl groups. It also could mean the gals themselves take to the stage to perform their own hits:
After the meeting there is growing confidence about a full-scale tour at the end of this year or early next year. Mel C still needs to be convinced but Victoria is on board for the moment.
Baby Spice Emma Bunton also took to her radio show, saying there are exciting things to come. Her co-host Jamie Theakston basically called her out on the bullshit. While Emma made it sound like it was just a random girls afternoon that just happened to include ex-manager Simon Fuller, who just happened to have five spare 10 million contracts on him to allow them to continue the fun, Jamie said it was the cash all along that smoked Posh and Sporty out of their foxholes. I totally agree, and Baby, Ginger, and Scary should be eternally grateful to the two holdouts for saving them the embarrassment of ever moving ahead with that Spice Girls GEM mess that seemed destined to perform in Walmart parking lots. Don t worry, I would have shown up to that, too.
