Video: Cormier trips and falls on stage during UFC 226 presserGet the Full StoryUFC 226 headliner Daniel Cormier ended up limping as he walked off stage after tripping and falling during the pre-fight presser UFC 226 s fight week has been a rough one, so far. On Wednesday, featherweight champion Max Holloway was forced out of his scheduled title defense against Brian Ortega after showing concussion-like symptoms that apparently began since Monday.
One may think that nothing more can go wrong with what is expected to be one of the biggest cards of the year. But during the pre-fight presser on Thursday, there seemed to be a bit of a scare, this time involving the main event fight.
As seen on the video above, light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier tripped on something seemingly a cable and fell hard on stage, as he stood up right after the media event. In another angle, he can be seen limping as he walked off stage.

While it may easily be brushed off, a blunder such as tripping and falling among UFC fighters could lead to dire repercussions. Case in point: Tony Ferguson tripping and injuring his knee also during fight week, forcing him out of his scheduled title fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223.
No further details have been released so far about DC s condition, so it looks like the main event fight against Stipe Miocic will go as planned this Saturday, July 7th in Las Vegas.
